Did you know that the marmot’s coat or pelt is often brown but exceptionally be completely black or white?

Its burrow is normally dug sufficiently deep so that it is situated below the ground freezing level. After having accumulated enough fatty mass during the summer, the marmot plunges into a comatose sleep for the duration of winter. During its hibernation, the marmot’s body temperature can drop to 3°C (37°F), just above freezing point.
